ASUS ATHEROS AR9285 WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER TREIBER

For my first Atheros card, I tried everything, from multiple drivers to hacking various settings. I will try the ASUStek support forums with this question and get back to you! I removed Wireless Console 3 like a moron because I thought it sounded like some adware. Sounds like the adapter may have a hardware problem though try updating the driver to see if that helps. I’ve had no problems with my wireless adapter until the last few weeks- perhaps an update windows installed interfered with it. We got a wifi usb adapter to use instead, which works well but occasionally conflicts with the suddenly un-disabled internal adapter.

The problem was reduced by configuring my WAN at home as suggested elsewhere to not use WPA, but, when I travel or go to coffee shops I have little control over that. I have seen other people online with the same exact issue, but they haven’t figured out a solution.

Did this solve your problem? I think I accidentally stumbled upon the answer after weeks of problems yesterday.

More recently however, it cannot find the solution to the problem, and the only way I can fix asapter is by restarting the computer. Glad to have helped. I agree with the Yiddo and Cheeseman and suggest just tossing the Atheros and buying an Intel card. Try actually updating your driver and clearing the network logon. Thanks for the extensive reply!
